NATHAN LEMAN

Nathan Leman has been closely associated with ADNL since prior to the Company’s first listing on ASX as Australian Dairy Farms Group in 2014, and is a long-term director of one of AHF’s top 20 shareholder companies.

He is a foundation director of the Responsible Entity (trustee) Company for the Australian Dairy Farms Trust, which remains the farm-owning entity for the ADNL Group. In his “part-time” position, he has held extensive management responsibilities inclusive of:
 
 

  • Consultation for research, selection and negotiation of farm and equipment acquisitions of under-performing but potentially high-quality dairy farms in South West Victoria.

  • Primary contact for the farms in respect of regional, state and federal compliance and licensing associated with the farms and the dairy industry.

  • Co-ordination and oversight of the farm improvements including the purchases and lease arrangements required for each farm’s infrastructure and plant / equipment as required for corporate farms. 

  • Communication with farm management on a daily and weekly basis for decision making and to establish and maintain the farm production, operational budgets, expenditure requirements for all aspects of the farm related operations. 

  • Initiated and oversaw the implementation of the decision to convert farms to organic status and the herds to A2 production, and, with key farm managers, planned the initial stages of conversion. 

  • Managed and co-ordinated the legal processes and requirements associated with the farms during the acquisitions and sales. 

  • Primary relationship manager with the bank for the Group. Consulted and co-ordinated with the financiers to secure funding as required. 

  • Project management roles for AHF over the years including building design supervision of the new factory building until approximately April 2021. 

  • Appointment and monitoring of senior farm management, assistance with staff selection for the Group’s dairy farms due to the absence of such skills in the executive management of the Group, and the implementation of the operational policies for farm staff. 

 
Nathan has been a registered builder since 1996 with extensive project management experience, focused on commercial, residential and retail property acquisition transactions, development and construction.
 
Has held and continues to hold positions as a director of several ASX and NSX listed companies with interests in tourism, property and financial services. He has been actively involved in several merger and acquisition transactions in listed companies over the last two decades, including the early years of Australian Dairy Farms Group now Australian Dairy Nutritionals Group AHF.
